HIST 2321 The Origins and Development of World Civilizations

Course Description

A survey of the major western and nonwestern civilizations which developed from Sumeria to the end of the Middle Ages. Cen- tered around a series of themes, particular emphasis is placed on the commonality of the human experience as illustrated in Eu- rope, the Middle East, Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Core Curriculum Course. Credit: 3 (3 lecture)
