ENGL 2335 The Bible as Literature: The New Testament

Course Description

Prerequisite: ENGL 1302
Credit: 3 (3 lecture)

Survey of the New Testament as a literary work. Examination of representative portions of the New Testament. Emphasis upon the literary characteristics and the cultural and historical contexts of the various books of the New Testament. Students make take ENGL 2334 and ENGL 2335 in any order. Students who enroll in this course are strongly advised to have passed ENGL 1302 with a grade of"C" or better. Core Curriculum course
