Biography
Born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania, I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Literature and Cinema Studies from American University in Washington, DC and a Master’s Degree in English from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Currently, I am working on a book length study of monstrosity (“Re-Inventing the Monster: The Transformation of Horror from the Victorian Age to the Information Age”).
I am in my fifth year as a full-time instructor in the Department of English at Houston Community College–Central Campus. Before this, I was an adjunct instructor at HCC, the University of St. Thomas, the University of Houston at Clear Lake, the University of Houston-Downtown, Kingwood College, and North Harris College. In addition, I was a Teaching Fellow at Rice. At HCC, I teach Composition I, Composition II, Technical Writing, British Literature, and Film and Literature.
