Biography or Teaching Philosophy
Prof. Yampey-Jorg is originally from Asuncion, Paraguay. She completed all her undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Houston. Her areas of concentration were Hispanic Literature, Spanish Grammar and Linguistics, Methodology, and Political Science/International Relations.
She is a strong believer in giving every student the opportunity to learn and excel to their fullest potential. In addition, she has been very active in promulgating the Hispanic Culture in our city through the Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston whose main aim is to disemminate the culture of the Hispanic world and to give scholarships to needy students.
