Eagle's Club
The Eagles Club is a student organization for students with disabilities in the VAST and Office Skills Training Programs. Our mission is to provide social, leadership, and disability awareness activities for all students, staff and faculty. It provides social and leadership skills to students in VAST/Office Skills and gives them a chance to interact with other students on campus.
Eagles Club participates in various community service projects such as March of Dimes WalkAmerica, Ch.13 Share Your Holidays Food Drive, and various food and clothing drives in the community. Eagles Club remains one of the most active student organizations on campus. It's biggest event is the annual "Ability Day," showcasing students' abilities and talents as well as, providing disability awareness to the college community. This event is held in October each year in celebration of National Disability Awareness Month.
Students in the Eagles Club are also active in Student Government Association (SGA) and have won numerous student leader awards at the Student Leader Awards Luncheon each year. Several officers have received "Student Leader of the Year Awards" and consistently attend the TJCSGA state conventions.
