Biography

I have been teaching here at HCCS - Central as a resident faculty since the spring of 1992. Currently I teach Introduction to Biology (BIOL 1308), General Biology I (BIOL 1406), General Biology II (BIOL 1407) and Microbiology. Prior to my employment at HCCS, I was a research faculty in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center at Houston where I worked for several years on Cancer Cytogenetics.
I have both M.S and Ph.D in Zoology (with specialization in cytogenetics/genetics) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. So far I have published sixteen peer reviewed papers in National and International Journals on mammalian cytogenetics and have presented over twenty papers in scientific conferences.
