My Teaching Philosophy
Originally from Philadelphia, I am a veteran educator who has enjoyed all levels of the educational process from teaching kindergarten in California to training astronauts at NASA. I truly believe learning should be rigorous so that the student experiences substantial growth.
I see no reason why learning shouldn't be fun, interesting and even entertaining.
I achieved my M.S. at U of H Clearlake in Instructional Technology and earned Teacher Certification at Cal State Dominguez Hills. My first two B.A. degrees in English and Speech & Dramatics prepared me for a successful career in broadcasting but I happily transferred those communication skills to the classroom.
My Texas board certifications include English as a Second Language and Information Processing Technologies. Supplementing second language acquisition with technology is the culmination of my life's work. I enjoy the educational process so much that each lesson is as exciting for me as it is for my clients.
