Extra Credit

You can earn extra credit by volunteering at the Houston Latino Book and Family Festival September 20 and 21, 10 am - 5 pm, at the George R. Brown Convention Center.  Admission is free.  This is a great way to see education and action, and meet folks who are making an impact in the world.

Biography

Tony Diaz is author of the novel THE AZTEC LOVE GOD, and founder of Nuestra Palabra: Latino Writers Having Their Say.   He can be heard every Tuesday night 730 p - 830 pm on 90.1 FM KPFT.

Teaching Philosophy

I practice what I preach.  I believe that the most powerful way to educate students is to prepare them to use what I teach them the moment they walk out of my class room.
