A "Lounge" area would be great. Having a few "comfortable" chairs would be good. Maybe a couch or two.

Playing dominoes or loud stereo music should be banned and more security presence to enforce this! Also, security needs to check student IDs? to weed out any non-HCC students who take up space and cause disruptions.

Dr. P, The student lounge area in the San Jacinto Building does include some comfortable areas. The new Learning Hub/Science Building will include eating areas.

Lydia, Lt. Boxie of the HCCS Police responded that he was aware of the problem of outsiders in the student lounge. There will be a student worker to monitor the student lounge and all individuals will be required to show ID when checking out games. Also HCC officers will be doing random checks in the lounge and checking student IDs? when they have reason to believe someone is not a student.

All I have to say is that the lounge does not appeal to me in any way nor does the "comfortable" chairs. They look like they came from a garage sale.

The chairs in the student lounge have been damaged by constant use since they were bought five years or so ago.

The chairs that are damaged have been removed until they can be repaired.
