How many vehicles will this hold? Is it for Faculty/Staff or Students? How many accidents happen yearly in the current parking garage? Will HCCS use a guard or some other system to help prevent this from occuring? What if students/Faculty are mixed in this garage and there is an accident. What is the policy here? Since you are planning to remove entire parking areas, how does one parking garage help alleviate the already difficult parking problem?

. . ., We will forward your concerns to Facilities Planning, the Campus Manager, the Chief Operating Officer, and the President. We will ask Campus Police about accidents in all of the current parking areas including the parking garage near the FAC. The current parking garage near the FAC is rarely full even though two floors have been added for a total of five. The construction of the new Commercial Building and Parking Garage on the site of the JDB/CIC/BSCC complex is on the master plan, but it is not funded. Its construction will be at least 4 years in the future.
