New and remodeled buildings will include elevators for students and staff. Elevators in current buildings are being assessed at this time.

To comply with city of Houston codes, please remove all ashtrays located directly beside buildings and install "no smoking" signs.
Install designated smoking areas that meet the distance requirement as set forth by the city of Houston.

Christine,
We will forward your comments to the Campus Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and the President.

the U Pass program needs some help. It is a great resource that is way under promoted, and difficult to obtain even if you do show up at the right place, right time in the minute and a half window they are available, then they probably ran out or went to lunch.
u pass makes, for me, college education accessible. For how many other students would this help as well?
Thank you.

One of the best things that have been done to make HCCS look like at campus is closing off Austin between Alamba and Holman. Could we also close off Holman between San Jacinto and LaBranch? and a block of San Jacinto before Holman?

HCC-Central campus is not a clean facility. The restrooms are not always functional, classroom tables & chairs are unsanitary and the library computers are filthy. An evening at HCC-Central is similar to an experience at the local DMV...

What Robin stated about the U-PASS system is correct!

John Shaw, Your comments about Holman will be forwarded to the President. There are no plans for closing Holman at this time, however.

WIFI Wireless nedd to be more improved.
Charlotte Hamilton, Director of Central Technology Support -- Mon, 31 Jul 2006 14:06:36 -0500 reply
Wireless at Central is spotty at best and the college is presently working on implementing a wireless system for the entire Central College. We are in the process of having a survey done to access where we need the access points to be located. After the completion of the survey we will start to install more wiresless access points at stragetic locations throughtout the campus.

Mrs Hamilton, thank you for your reply. And for not forwarding my comment.

I intended to request that wi-fi be added to the campus. After reading the above comments I learned that wi-fi is available in certain locations. You could have fooled me, I can never get a signal.
I recommend that wi-fi be added to the library, lunch area and the business center buildings. Finally, a room with desks equipped with power outlets where wi-fi could be received would be great; a laptop study room if you will.

Lockers on campus would be appreciated... and if there already are lockers on campus, maybe their availability should be promoted/advertised.
Thank you.
