When you list overhead projects please tell me that you mean ceiling
mounted projector systems, not the "old" projector of transparencies.

"Overhead projectors" should be "Ceiling-mounted projectors with
multi-media capabilities."

Please-The ability for the instructor to control the temperature in the classrooms. It's hard to concentrate when it's too warm!

We will forward the comment about computer programs to the administrators in charge of computer labs.

Chris, we will forward your comments to Facilities Planning. However, it is our understanding that most new buildings do not have thermostats for individual rooms because of the difficult task of balancing the air flow for all of the rooms in entire buildings.

I do not think that partitions are nessecary for any rooms. If I remember correctly from high school and other colleges, The big clunky folding doors get in the way and also look unattractive in a class room/lab. They distract from the lectures and may make a student feel uneasy, as though something else is going on behind this temporary wall. One solution would be to make seperate smaller classrooms from the start. Perhaps just one giant lab may need a partition.
About the computers in the classroom, From past experience, they gather dust and quickly become out-dated. They require maintenance and frequently stall or freeze. They end up on a corner table along with a tangled mess of chords and teachers have trouble using them to their best advantge.

Lights that may be adjusted when viewing film. Those are just normal lights. The problem when viewing films is getting enough light blocked out of the windows. The shades always get stuck. And when I say always, I mean approximately 90 % of the time. They get stuck up at the top and the windows being so high, they are very difficult to get down. Rugged shades that withstand constant abuse are a good candidate for this solution.

Desk size should not be a problem. When comparing desk size to other schools, colleges, or universities, small sizes are common. The HCC Central Business building has classrooms with table sized desks. This large size is limits the number of student able to fit in each room. This also causes all of the extra students to be crammed along side the walls, deskless, with just a chair. In a scenario like this, a late student entering the classroom disrupts the entire lecture. The student has to pick up a chair and carry it to the side of the classroom. A smaller desk size can have better benefits to the student and the teacher.

Where is the wi-fi? Why is wi-fi not available to students in the campus? This is 2007 for goodness sakes. Wi-fi is cheap to install. The computer lab is always full (and hot.) I would like to be able to use my laptop on campus, especially in the business center buildings.
