Retro-Futurism: Exploring Objects Interpreting both the Past and Future.
The Juried Exhibition of works will explore historical or traditional styles of metalworking objects and jewelry and reinterpret them into a contemporary context through materials, design, or function.

This exhibition will be part of the official Gallery Night Tour at the SNAG 2010 Conference “going to eXtremes”.
The exhibition will take place March 8- April 9, 2010
Pieces selected for the show will be featured in a podcast and will be available for free through the College’s Itunes U site. For this reason those entrants selected by the Jurors must be willing to allow to use the images of their pieces sent for considerations additionally artists may be contacted for interviews for podcasts or QuickTime video.
Houston Community College Central campus is located in downtown Houston and can be easily excess though the Houston Metro light rail and by bus or car.
